Our Vision

"We Are Problematic" is more than just a name; it's a philosophy, a community, and a movement dedicated to dismantling the pervasive myth of flawless existence. We envision a world where vulnerability is not a weakness, but a shared strength, and where the acknowledgment of personal struggles is met with understanding, not judgment.

Our core belief is that the human experience is inherently "problematic." Life is a complex tapestry woven with threads of joy and sorrow, success and failure, triumph and tribulation. We recognize that everyone, regardless of their outward appearance or perceived success, carries their own burdens, faces their own demons, and grapples with their own unique set of challenges.

We strive to build a community where:

* Authenticity is paramount: We encourage individuals to shed the masks of perfection and present their true selves, flaws and all. We believe that genuine connection is born from honesty and vulnerability.

* Empathy is the cornerstone: We cultivate a culture of compassion and understanding, where individuals can share their experiences without fear of ridicule or condemnation. We listen with open hearts and offer support without judgment.

* Shared experience is a source of strength: We recognize that our struggles are not isolated incidents, but rather common threads that connect us all. By sharing our stories, we break down the walls of isolation and discover that we are not alone.

* Growth is a journey, not a destination: We acknowledge that personal growth is a continuous process, marked by setbacks and stumbles. We embrace these challenges as opportunities for learning and transformation.

* Support is a collective responsibility: We believe that building a supportive community is not the responsibility of a select few, but rather a shared endeavor. We encourage everyone to contribute their unique talents and perspectives to create a safe and inclusive space.

* Radical acceptance is practiced: We accept that everyone has problems, and that it is okay to have problems. We fight against the toxic positivity that demands that everyone should be happy all the time.

* Mental Health is a Priority: We strive to create a safe and supportive space that destigmatizes mental health struggles and encourages individuals to seek help when they need it.

"We Are Problematic" is a call to action - an invitation to embrace our shared humanity and a commitment to building a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. We acknowledge that we are all problematic in our own ways, but together, we are resilient.

Sincerely,

Executive Director
